Here is my conmetnts page for my school magazine. I have used the same style used on the cover page as well as the colours and font.

I then added a masthead, skyline, kicker and straplines for the finishing touches. The first image has no straplines, as I didnt want to overcrowd the page. But, I thought the kicker then looked too randon and out of place, so I changed my mind and decided to add straplines.

Here i have cropped the photo and added a base for the mast head. I then cropped out her finger so that i could place it over the base. I did this by using the lasso tool, copy and pasting it, then placing the layer over the base. I have only used three colours to make it look proffessional and realsitic. My choice for the three colours was base on the colours used for the lordswood girls school logo. The yellow i used was the same yellow of the background of the photo.

Using a didigal camera i took a photo of someone taking a photo of themselves. I ensured that the models face was in the centre, remembering to include the "rule of thirds". i wanted her face to be what the audience looked at first. I'm glad that the photo on the camera came out brighter rthan the rest of the photo for the purpose that it is eye catching. For the magazine cover, i plan to crop the phtot so that the excess on the sides is not seen.
