As a group we decided to use this photo for one of the magazine covers as it fit the conventions of the magazine we wanted to portray. The clothes worn by the models are colourful, bright and unique. It suggests to the reader that they too can be unique like the girls on the cover if they buy the magazine. The poses are confident and quirky. When we took the picture we had to take in to consideration the rule of thirds as this is one of the conventions of a magazine cover. The masthead, issue number and bar code are also general conventions. I edited the image so that the two models stood out. I did this by using the lasso tool to select the girls and make them brighter, I then lowered the saturation on the brick wall. I put the top of their heads over the mast head to suggest to the audience that the magazine is popular.
